George IV becomes King

George IV was the last of the Georgian Kings and acted as Prince Regent from 1811 until the death of his father, George III, in 1820. It is from this time when England was ruled by the Prince Regent that the term Regency Era arises. On June 19, 1821 King George IV was crowned.
